“A Chance To Dance”

A special event at New World School of the Arts High School on November 6th, 2022 from 9:00am to 12:30pm (mandatory registration is 8.15am - 8.45am; a parent/guardian must be present to sign participants in and out).

“A Chance to Dance” is a unique experience designed for 7th and 8th grade students with prior training, commitment, and a passion for dance.

Participants will have the opportunity to take part in two Master Classes taught by amazing NWSA Dance Teachers; one Ballet and one Modern. Then, they get to relax and enjoy performances by current NWSA High School students! The event will end with an engaging and informative Q&A session with the Dean of Dance and the NWSA dancers (which might be of particular interest to prospective students). Parents/guardians can join in the fun once the Master Classes are over, so start thinking of your questions now!

Price: $45 per student when registered and paid online by November 3rd, OR $55 at the door by 8.30am. The Workshop will begin promptly at 9am.

Participants can wear any color of comfortable dance clothing that does not restrict movements, such as a leotard with dance tights or leggings. Ballet slippers are required for the Ballet class (no pointe please). The Modern class will require bare feet. Long hair can be worn in a bun or tied back, no jewelry, please. Male and females are welcome.

All participants must have a completed waiver on file, this will be sent to the email address you provide once registered. Please read, sign, and return it by November 3rd or print it and bring the signed paper version with you on November 6th.
